It is really neat how God works through simple blogs.  I have been so blessed to find many friends through WordPress who also love God and want to live for Him.  Cathy is one of those friends and I am so grateful to her for her blogging friendship and for this award.  I definitely feel like part of the family here on WordPress!

Here are 7 things about myself.  Not sure how interesting they are!

1.  My husband and I will celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary this year, in the spring of 2013!

2.  I’m reading “The Hobbit” right now because my son told me that I should.

3.  Teaching my Good News Club is one of my favorite things to do.  We have a lot of kids and every one of them is awesome!

4.  I don’t like coffee.  Or tea.  I do like water with lots of ice.

5.  I saw “The Avengers” twice when it came out.  We didn’t stay till the end of the credits the first time so we had to go back and watch the movie again.

6.  One of my favorite adventures was snorkeling in Hawaii with my husband and our kids.  The fish just swim right up to you!

7.  I bake chocolate chip cookies whenever my kids’ friends come over.  And they know it. 🙂

Super Sweet Blogging Award!

Thank you to Jill at http://gegebearbear for giving me the Super Sweet Blogging Award.  What a fun award!  I have to say, I love the colors and the cupcakes on this award! 🙂

In order to earn my treat, I need to answer some questions:

1. Cookies or Cake?  That depends on the cookie and the cake, but probably cookie because I don’t like frosting.
2. Chocolate or Vanilla?  Vanilla.
3. Favorite sweet treat?  Chocolate chip cookies (thus the poem that I wrote on a post a while ago).
4. When do you crave sweet things the most?  Well, this fall I was at a very cold football game and I thought that some hot chocolate would be very nice and then I found out that they had hot chocolate.  Mmmm…That was so warm and good!
5. If you had a sweet nickname, what would it be?  I don’t know.  How about Sweetie?  I hear that one a lot.

1.  Teaching a room full of elementary kids is fun and energizing!

2.  In 2012 I read several books.  The authors I can think of right now are Max Lucado, Francis Chan, Kyle Idleman and Beth Moore.  Oh, and me.  I read my book to lots of kids in 2012!

3.  GO BIG RED!  If you know what that means, then you understand.

4.  I’ve never been a big fan of microphones, but I seem to keep finding myself behind them.

5.  I don’t like bubble gum, but the bubble gum clap with kids is very fun.

6.  Since my daughter’s wedding, my niece, my nephew and two of my cousins have become engaged.  And I LOVE giving showers!

7.  I wrote a children’s book, “Papa’s Plan for Buddy Bee.”  The illustrations are super cute!
